Atlanta Bankruptcy - with the passage of the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005 (BAPCA), the bankruptcy laws in the United States changed dramatically.
During the past year, I have filed many cases under the new law and I have on-going discussions with my colleagues in the Atlanta bankruptcy bar about the changes to bankruptcy practice.
In my updated Atlanta Bankruptcy Attorney web site, I explain the changes to the consumer bankruptcy landscape after the 2005 law change. I also recorded several audio clips and even a video to help you better understand whether bankruptcy makes sense for you. Despite what you may have heard, your bankruptcy option is alive and well, although you will find that the process has definitely become more complicated.
In addition to my Atlanta bankruptcy site, my original Georgia bankruptcy site - moneylawyer.com - is still active. The Moneylawyer site contains a lot of information about the consequences of and recovery from bankruptcy. I have, of course, updated this site to reflect the new reality of the new law.
Finally, I invite you to check out my newest site, which is actually a blog. My Personal Bankruptcy blog located at www.thebklawyer.com/thebkblog contains over a year’s worth of questions from readers, my comments about changes in the law and discussions about bankruptcy in general. The growth of legal blogs is a growing trend because blogs are extremely interactive. I tend to update thebkblog at least two or three times a week.
Hope to speak to you soon.
Jonathan
